What components make up a split air-conditioning system?
A split system consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The indoor unit includes, among other things, the casing, air filter, air outlet, and directional louvers. The outdoor unit includes, among other things, refrigerant connections, a fan, control components, and service valves on the gas and liquid sides.
What is the indoor unit display used for?
The display shows the temperature, timer, active operating mode, error codes, and the basic unit statuses.
Are the remote control appearance and functions always the same?
No. The appearance of the remote, the button layout, and some functions may vary depending on the model, but the basic modes and operating logic are usually similar.
Indoor unit installation

Where is the best place to install the indoor unit?
The indoor unit should be mounted on a wall with adequate load-bearing capacity, while maintaining the proper clearances and ensuring free airflow. Space must also be left for maintenance, filter cleaning, and service.
How should the mounting plate be installed correctly?
First, remove the plate from the rear of the unit, then place it against the wall, level it, mark the fixing points, and drill the holes. After inserting the wall plugs, the plate should be screwed on firmly so that it sits flat and stable.
How should a wall opening for the installation be made?
The opening for cables, pipes, and the condensate drain should have the proper diameter and a slight outward slope to support condensate drainage and make it easier to route the installation bundle.
How should the condensate drain hose be routed?
The drain hose must be connected tightly and routed with a constant slope. Kinks, twists, and restrictions must be avoided, as they may cause water to back up.
Should cables, pipes, and the drain be wrapped together?
Yes. After routing the refrigerant pipes, cables, and drain, they should be organized into one bundle and properly secured. The condensate drain should ideally run in the lower part of that bundle.
Outdoor unit installation

What conditions should the installation site meet?

Does every outdoor unit require a drain?
Not always. This especially applies to models operating as heat pumps, where condensate may form in heating mode and require drainage.
How should the outdoor unit be fastened correctly?
After marking the fixing points, drill the holes, insert the mounting elements, position the unit, and tighten the bolts. Rubber pads may optionally be used to reduce noise and vibration transfer.
How are the refrigerant pipes connected?
